Features and services
Ferruzzano Beach is located in the hamlet of Ferruzzano Marina, about 70 kilometers from Reggio Calabria. The graceful country is surrounded by a somewhat bushy, savage landscape and overlooks the sandy beach only at its north-eastern end. It is a beautiful, pristine beach of golden sand, a few hundred meters long, and is bathed in a blue, clear and transparent sea, perfect for swimming and scuba diving. The beach is not equipped and does not offer natural shade, so it is good to keep with you the necessary, but there are public showers and a wood boardwalk for wheelchairs and strollers from the seafront. To reach it, just take the SS 106, although it is easy to get there by train, as the railway station is just a few meters from the sandy beach where you can also find a cafeteria bar with toilet.
Do not miss the excursion to the village of Ferruzzano Superiore, the charming original country now uninhabited full of history to discover, from which you enjoy a breathtaking panorama.
Another place to visit is the cliff of Capo Bruzzano, only 3 km away you will find a landscape and a dreamy sea.
